In-Space
Inspection Services

In-space inspection of satellites and other space assets by Rogue Space Systems addresses multiple challenges. One of the primary problems this resolves is the issue of malfunctions or anomalies in satellites post-deployment. Inspection services can provide real-time, detailed visuals and diagnostics of the spacecraft’s exterior, aiding in understanding unexpected behaviors or performance drops, and potentially averting mission failures.

As space becomes increasingly congested with both active satellites and space debris, the risk of potential collisions and subsequent damage rises. Routine inspections by Rogue Space Systems ensure the structural integrity of your space assets and can provide early detection of minor damages before they escalate into critical failures. By identifying potential vulnerabilities and areas of wear and tear, operators can make informed decisions about satellite life extension, repurposing, or deorbiting, thereby enhancing the sustainability and safety of your space operations.

ENHANCED ASSET LONGEVITY

Detecting issues early on allows for timely interventions, potentially extending the service life of the satellite or space asset.

ACCURATE DIAGNOSTICS

High-resolution visuals and detailed sensor data can provide unparalleled insights into the satellite’s condition, far beyond what ground-based observations can offer.

SAFETY & RISK MITIGATION

Regular inspections can help identify potential risks, from equipment malfunctions to collision threats, enabling operators to take preventive action.

IMPROVED OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY

Understanding the exact condition of a satellite can help operators optimize its use, ensuring peak performance and minimizing downtimes.

COST SAVINGS

By identifying problems before they escalate, you can avoid more expensive interventions or even the potential loss of your assets. Proactive maintenance is typically more cost-effective than reactive repairs.

DATA-DRIVEN DECISION MAKING

With comprehensive inspection data, satellite operators can make more informed decisions regarding asset management, ranging from prolonged operational life to deorbit decision making.

SUSTAINABILITY IN SPACE

Regular check-ups can also contribute to space sustainability, as operators become aware of any potential debris risks or other environmental hazards.

FLEXIBILITY

Flexible services, from one-off inspections to regular monitoring packages, allow our customers to choose based on their needs and budget.

POST-INSPECTION SUPPORT

Apart from the actual inspection, we provide detailed analysis, reports, and expert consultations to help you understand and act on the findings.

TECHNOLOGICAL EDGE

Utilizing cutting-edge technologies, such as advanced robotics and AI-driven analytics, we can ensure high-quality, accurate inspections.

PEACE OF MIND

Knowing that your space assets are in good condition and are being monitored by experts gives you peace of mind, ensuring your investments are well-guarded.

POSITIVE INSURANCE IMPLICATIONS

Having regular inspections and maintaining the health of a satellite may influence insurance premiums or claims for space assets. Ask us about our insurer relationships!

ROGUE’S PROCESS

HOW WE MANAGE YOUR INSPECTION

STEP BY STEP

01

Initial Inquiry

Send Rogue an email, phone call or fill out our contact us form to speak with a representative.

02

Requirements Gathering

A Rogue representative will offer you a consultation to understand the specifics of your inspection request.

03

Proposal & Contract

Based on your spacecraft selection, approach path and rendezvous schedule needs, we provide a proposal detailing the scope, timeline, and cost. If both parties agree, the contract is signed.

04

Mission Planning

After we receive a signed contract, mission planning begins. We refine the approach path of our spacecraft and the rendezvous schedule.

05

Launch & Rendezvous

Depending on the position and availability of Rogue’s in-space assets, we will deploy our inspection Orbot, or launch a new one to rendezvous with your satellite or asset.

06

Conduct Inspection

Once in proximity, the customer has the opportunity of working with Rogue live during the performance of the assessment while high-resolution imaging and sensor diagnostics are performed to identify anomalies. Optionally, minor repairs or adjustments could be performed depending on the Orbot used for the inspection.

07

Data Transmission

The Orbot sends the data that was collected to Rogue’s ground stations in real-time or batch transfer, subject to available communications links and the volume of data.

08

Analysis & Reporting

Rogue’s team reviews the inspection data leveraging advanced software and analytics to compile a comprehensive report detailing the finding of the operation.

09

Delivery to Customer

You receive the inspection report, accompanied by visuals, analyses, and recommendations. Depending on the findings, Rogue might also provide consultancy or further services if repairs or other actions are deemed necessary.

10

Post-Service Review

After delivering the report, Rogue Space Systems will hold a review meeting with you to discuss the findings, answer questions, and ensure that your in-orbit inspection service needs are met.

HOW WE DELIVER YOUR DATA

DATA TRANSMISSION TO GROUND STATIONS

After the inspection, Rogue Space Systems will transmit the data from the spacecraft to their ground stations using state-of-the-art encryption methods. Ensuring data integrity during this phase is crucial.

SECURE WEB PORTAL ACCESS (COMING SOON)

Rogue is developing a dedicated customer portal available on our website. Through this portal, customers can securely log in, view their inspection data, generate reports, and interact with visualization tools.
