Rocket launch — join the Rogue Space Systems team
Careers at Rogue

Space Innovators Wanted

We're building autonomous spacecraft that will define the next era of in-space operations. Join a team where your work reaches orbit.

Our Values

What Drives Us

These aren't wall art — they're how we make decisions, hire, and build.

Focus on Legacy

We build for permanence. Every decision considers the long-term impact on the space industry and the world we leave behind.

Ideas Above Self

The best idea wins, regardless of who contributes it. We prioritize mission success over personal credit.

Driven

We push boundaries relentlessly. Obstacles are opportunities to innovate, not reasons to stop.

Humble Compassion

We lead with empathy and stay grounded. Arrogance has no place on a team solving hard problems together.

Seekers of Truth

We follow data, not assumptions. Intellectual honesty and rigorous analysis guide every engineering and business decision.

Why Go Rogue?

Build What Matters

At Rogue, you won't work on incremental improvements to existing products. You'll design, build, and fly spacecraft that solve problems no one else is tackling — from hosting third-party payloads in orbit to providing last-mile logistics for the emerging space economy.

Our team operates with startup speed and mission-critical discipline. Every engineer, operator, and business lead has a direct line from their desk to the spacecraft we put in orbit. If you want to see your work launch — literally — this is the place.

From the Team

What It's Like to Go Rogue

“Working at Rogue means your code flies in space. There's nothing like watching the spacecraft you helped build perform a maneuver in orbit. The pace is fast, the problems are real, and the team is exceptional.”

Senior Electrical & Embedded Engineer

Engineering Remote Full-time $140,000 – $175,000 / year
Apply

Rogue Space Systems is seeking a Senior Electrical & Embedded Engineer to help design, build, integrate, and test flight-ready spacecraft electrical and embedded systems from concept through production. This role is aimed at a hands-on technical leader who can turn mission needs into robust hardware and firmware, perform rigorous electrical analysis, and help shape future Rogue capabilities through R&D, proposals, and cross-functional engineering leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key contributor to the design, development, testing, and modification of all electrical and embedded systems on Rogue spacecraft and sub-systems
  • Take end-to-end ownership of electrical systems on the spacecraft
  • Convert ambiguous system needs into well-defined electrical and embedded solutions
  • Move designs cleanly from concept to schematic, flow-diagrams, layout, firmware, prototyping, and production with minimal rework
  • Design flight-ready electrical systems that meet spaceflight demands — power integrity, signal integrity, EMI/EMC, thermal, and environmental constraints
  • Create versatile, reusable designs that contribute to the long-term technical roadmap
  • Perform electrical analysis including power budgets, thermal impacts, signal integrity, and fault modes
  • Develop efficient, deterministic, resilient firmware for mission-critical operations, with clean structure and graceful fault recovery
  • Ensure seamless integration between embedded software and electrical hardware
  • Identify and solve risks early to prevent schedule or performance impact
  • Share knowledge, review designs and code, and improve engineering practices across the team
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders using written, verbal, and visual materials
  • Estimate and communicate execution timelines, budgets, and risks accurately
  • Operate autonomously while delivering program success

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in electrical design and embedded systems development
  • Proven experience taking hardware from concept through production and deployment
  • Schematic capture and PCB design expertise (5+ years)
  • Embedded firmware development in C/C++ (5+ years)
  • Experience with microcontrollers, processors, and peripheral interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART)
  • Board bring-up, debugging, and system integration experience
  • Strong understanding of power systems, signal integrity, and EMI/EMC considerations
  • Significant thermal systems modeling experience using standardized processes and tools
  • U.S. person status required — must be legally able to view export-controlled (ITAR) documents

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of electrical design experience for space systems
  • Working understanding of orbital dynamics

Benefits

  • 401(k) with company match
  • Health insurance
  • Dental insurance
  • Vision insurance
  • Paid time off
