The Business of Space

The Business of Space

The Business of Space 500 500 Jeromy Grimmett

Trisha Navidzadeh is Rogue Space Systems’ Vice President of Business Development. She initiates and manages all of the company’s sales efforts. She comes highly qualified, having been involved with the NewSpace industry for more than a decade.

“I’m obsessed with everything ‘space’ and have been since I was a small child,” she says. “I’ve always looked up to NASA astronauts and wanted to grow up and be an astronaut. I’m passionate about Rogue’s vision because I believe we cannot continue to replace space assets every time a satellite has a small problem and goes offline. We have to be able to repair these assets in space so that we don’t create more space junk.”

Solving Vast Problems

According to NASA, while we don’t see space junk in the sky from our vantage point, low Earth orbit (LEO) is an “orbital space junk yard” with millions of pieces of space junk flying around.

“Most orbital debris is comprised of human-generated objects like pieces of space craft, tiny flecks of paint, parts of rockets, satellites that are no longer working or explosions of objects in orbit flying around in space at high speeds,” a NASA post on the subject explains.

Most space junk can reach speeds of 18,000 miles per hour and this poses a real threat to people and property in space and on Earth.

Trisha is proud to be part of the solution along with the Rogue Space team.

“We need to have a responsible and sustainable approach to space exploration,” she says. “I believe Rogue is supporting that sustainability in space.”

Her goals with Rogue are to help create a space company that solves big problems – and to make sure the space industry is aware of all that Rogue has to offer. Outside of work, Trisha is a self-described “sports nut” who loves playing tennis, practicing yoga, and ocean kayaking.
