Founder Jeromy Grimmett moves co-founder Jon Beam in as CEO, and assumes role of Chief Visionary Officer
Rogue Space Systems Corporation, a pioneering space logistics and sustainability company, today announced leadership transitions aimed at propelling it into the next phase of growth. Founder Jeromy Grimmett has shifted his role as Chief Executive Officer to become the Chief Visionary Officer, entrusting the Chief Executive Officer position to co-founder Jon Beam, previously the Chief Operations Officer. In a major boost to the executive team, Major General Brook Leonard, USAF (Ret.), will become the new Chief Operations Officer.
This strategic realignment of Rogue comes as it successfully established space heritage in November and begins to scale activities to meet the increasing demands of the space industry. Grimmett, as the new Chief Visionary Officer, will focus on long-term strategic vision as well as investor relations, ensuring Rogue’s industry and thought leadership continues.
Jon Beam, stepping into the Chief Executive Officer role, brings a wealth of operational and technical strengths, strategic planning ability, and collaborative innovation techniques. His exceptional guidance as the former COO has been instrumental in shaping the company’s robust Operations framework, positioning him ideally to usher Rogue into its next chapter.
The spotlight is Maj Gen Leonard, whose appointment as Chief Operations Officer is a testament to Rogue’s commitment to excellence. During his stellar career in the United States Air Force, Gen Leonard was positioned within the highest levels of the military including as Chief of Staff, United States Space Command and as Deputy Commander, Combined Joint Task Force – Space Operations. His veteran background, coupled with his profound expertise in air and space domains and logistics, positions him uniquely to drive Rogue’s enterprise forward.
Leonard’s extensive experience includes commanding training, operational and combat wings, overseeing critical air, space, and joint operations, and strategic planning at the highest levels of the military to include time as senior military assistant to the Secretary of the Air force and the founding Chief of Staff for United States Space Command. His leadership skills, honed over years of service, will be invaluable in steering Rogue’s operational capabilities as the company expands its footprint in the space industry.
“The leadership changes are a strategic step in our journey,” said Grimmett. “With Jon as CEO and Brook as COO, Rogue is poised for unprecedented growth. Under their tutelage, we ensure that Rogue will continue to lead innovation in the industry. I cannot imagine a better team, nor could I be prouder to have Jon and Brook elevate Rogue in the years to come.”
CEO Jon Beam expresses tremendous excitement about where Rogue Space Systems is headed: “We are so excited to be at this inflection point in Rogue’s evolution! We are accelerating our hosted payload business which will be the growth engine that will accelerate our tech forward and enable lucrative in-space servicing missions. Ultimately, this positions Rogue as one of the first infrastructure providers for the emerging multi-trillion dollar in-space assembly and manufacturing economy.”
